Get paid to write There are multiple ways to make money online by writing articles.  One of the fastest growing trends is "blogging".  If you own your own blog, than you can make money just as you would with a website, for this go to the "affiliates and advertising" section of this website.  For the majority of people that don't own a website or a blog, this is right place to be.  There are a few different ways that people get paid to write online, you can do freelance writing if you are well known and talented it can be quite profitable.  Some sites will also pay a commission per article that you write whether it be a review, a news story, a how-to guide, etc.  My personal favorite way of earning money for writing online is getting paid a percentage of the advertising revenue for a page.  If you happen to have your own website or blog, you could write an article about your site to advertise while simultaneously making a cut of the advertising costs to do so (only do this where it is allowed, otherwise it will be considered spam.  There are paid writing websites out there for anyone, I've chosen a few that I use from time to time which have a good track record.

Squidoo This site is great, I would without a doubt list it as the best of the paid to write sites that I've seen as well as one of the best ways to make money online, it allows you to advertise your blog/website within your lens if you so wish.  You write a blog on any topic (known as a lens) and 50% of the revenue resulting from your blog will go straight into your account and 5% will be donated to charity.  You can help yourself, help others, and talk about what you love at the same time.  Highly recommended way to make money online, I spend approximately the same time on Squidoo as I do this website and all of the programs within it. It is 100% free to sign up, you earn money through adsense and affiliate income, it is promoted for you by Squidoo, overall just a great site. PayPerPost This is a website that allows you to get paid directly for each blog you create.  The way it works is that advertisers pay specifically to get a blog posted about their product/website in order to increase brand loyalty as well as create high quality back links to websites for page rank and other various purposes.  You get paid $20 for your first blog and past that point you get paid a minimum of $5 per blog you create for an advertiser.  This is a great way to make money if you are a good writer or know a good deal about blogging.

Softwarejudge This site allows you to test and review software and based on the quality of the review you get paid up to $50 per review. Associated Content Get paid $3-20 per article published, minimum payout is $15.  If you are a good writer you can make decent money here by posting articles.
